Variety Name: MG24R05 (#Canola)

MG24R05 is a spring-type Brassica napus hybrid utilizing a three-line cytoplasmic male sterility system. Its entire growth period is approximately 134 days, comparable to MG24R01. Field investigations during regional trials revealed an average incidence of Sclerotinia disease of 15.05% with a disease index of 6.47%, demonstrating stronger resistance than both MG24R01 and Qingyou 14.

Tested by the Ministry of Agriculture’s Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Oils and Products, the two-year average quality metrics are:

Erucic Acid Content: 0.25%

Glucosinolate Content: 18.56 μmol/g

Oil Content: 45.23%

Regional Trials (Year 1): Achieved an average yield of 3,791.25 kg/ha (+4.92% vs. MG24R01, +18.46% vs. Qingyou 14).

Regional Trials (Year 2): Reached an average yield of 252.45 kg/mu (+12.25% vs. MG24R01, +23.48% vs. Qingyou 14).
